Project Management

Expert coordination & leadership.

We offer our Project Management skills to any stage of client projects. Some clients request us to manage the entirety of their project from start to finish; others require our expertise only at specific junctions, such as during the crucial implementation phase of their project.

Project Management during implementation is about providing a skilled and experienced individual to manage and coordinate your project to ensure that everything that needs to be done gets done. Constantly monitoring the progress against the project plan and budget; they liaise with all parties; compile regular progress reports; manage any issues, risks or changes that arise and lead the team to achieve the final project goals.

Project Governance

Defining decision making & accountability.

Effective Project Governance creates the framework for decision making. A critical element of any project, Project Governance defines team structures to ensure that appropriate levels of responsibility, accountability, reporting, communication and decision making is undertaken.

During your project, Project Governance will ensure that regular meetings with the appropriate people are held so that everyone is informed as to where the project is against the programme and so that any decisions about the project can be made. It will also make sure that the right levels of decision making are being signed off.

It’s very simple, but the structure it provides to your capital investments is incredibly important. It identifies the accountability for the overall delivery of the project, optimises investment, avoids common pitfalls and allows for more open communications and motivation across teams.

Risk Management

Identifying & mitigating potential project risks.

Risk Management is a crucial ongoing responsibility that must be fulfilled with an accurate yet balanced approach. It involves the identification of risks, the assessment of those risks and the development of measures to mitigate the impact that the risks pose.

There are numerous types of risks that need to be considered. Risk Management is not simply about physical on-site risks, although this is of course an important consideration. Risk Management also concerns infrastructure, finance, technology and decisions, amongst other factors. A trained and experienced individual will be assigned to your project in order to assess the entirety of the situation. If risks are identified, strategies will then be developed so that your project can continue moving safely forward whilst complying with all legal requirements and standards.

Construction

On-site manangement & coordination.

The responsibility for the day-to-day running of the construction phase of your project should be assigned to an experienced Construction Manager. Overseeing site management, design management, management of contracting, they coordinate and control the process on-site.

They are required to observe the budget and timescale and manage any on-site delays or issues to ensure that the project is kept on track. To do this, they will continuously inspect work and conduct checks to control quality and ensure that health and safety standards and building regulations are being adhered to at every stage. They will also keep in close contact with all of the various teams involved in the construction phase, as well as our clients, to make certain that everyone is receiving regular updates.

Project Resource Support

Monitoring your project's progress.

When working with a limited budget, some clients choose to find the personnel to complete their project. This means that they will not receive the support of our handpicked teams and systems. However, many of the same clients do not have the capacity to monitor their projects, which is of course a vital requirement to ensure that all is happening as it should be.

They therefore need to have a trusted and knowledgable individual to monitor their project as the works progress. Our Project Resource Support does just that. Our expert will provide an on-site presence that will monitor the client’s project and keep the client updated with regular reports.

Integrated Food Projects have partnered with Kettleby Foods on a number of high-profile multi-million pound capital projects since 2003/4, helping the business to develop and grow. Throughout that time they have provided cost-effective and efficient solutions on development projects both at our existing ready meals production facility and also in creating a new satellite facility. The projects at our existing facility were managed without impact on our ability to service our own clients, and all projects have been delivered within budget, in a timely fashion and to the requisite standards of safety and quality. Their team work ethos and professional approach ensure successful projects and I would utilise Integrated Food Projects in the future without hesitation.

- Jarrod Thorndyke, Production Director

I have worked with Integrated Food Projects on many capital expenditure projects since 2004, the latest being the development of the new plot of land adjacent to our main site. They successfully employed a project delivery process to ensure the integration of a leased modular building solution with the development of the site infrastructure to improve logistics and Health and Safety. Their staff are always positive and enthusiastic and have fostered a team-work approach ensuring another successful project delivered. I look forward to working with them again in the near future.
