Integrated Food Projects was delighted to attend Appetite for Engineering 2019 on the 17th October in Coventry, where Head of Process, Ed Keenan, delivered a talk about developing engineering technologies which look set to impact food production in the coming years. You can read the full event write up on the Food Processing website here.
Ed’s talk specifically looked into the effects of artificial intelligence on the engineering function, covering new technology like;
- Machines that will self-diagnose
- Nanotechnology
- Cobots designed for use in hygienic applications.
He also painted a picture of how a food factory might look further into the future, leaving the delegates wondering how the engineering function (and their lives) might have to change when the above technologies become more widely adopted. Read the full article here.
